Religion

The United Kingdom

In Britain there is no separation between Church and State, with the Queen taking her role as the head of both. However, in practice this means very little as most people claim not to believe in God as the country continues to be more and more secular. Christianity remains by far the largest practiced religion in the county followed by Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism. Scotland and Wales have different churches from England, all of which split from Rome and Catholicism over 400 years ago. There remains a large Catholic community in the country however, especially in places where there have been large influxes of Irish immigrants.
